The Porfoundity of MAYIMBUUU

Mayimbu in the Dragon Ball Saga, was one of the most fearsome worries Goku and his friends had to fight. As always the warriors including Goku, were in constant evolution of their powers. All of them grew stronger, faster, lighter, well it seemed as if infinity was their limit to what some of them could do.

Off all of them we are going to speak about specifically Mayimbu.

I should say that I am definitely not an expert on the saga, but as a viewer of the cartoon as a kid I could say this character seemed very interesting since the beginning, he is distinguished from all others because he is FAT.

In his fatness he achieves immortality, for at the end of the Saga he is defeated in the stage of his evolution where he is strong and rigid, but when he is FAT and flexible it would seem as if he were unbeatable. In the scene where GOKU fights the FAT Mayimbu buu we find that the harder Goku hits him, the harder it becomes for him to beat him, his energy although vast and strong could not even make a scratch against him. We can also analyze the expression on their faces, as we realize that GOKU has a firm hard and angry face while Mayimbu seems to be enjoying the moment. Isn’t that what life is all about?

The Tao teaches that we should be like the bamboo, no matter how strong the air bends us, we will never break. The stronger and rigid one is the weaker one becomes, we will eventually break. It is even in the most “superficial” metaphors in which we can also find the truest teachings. That is because the truth never hides.. it is always open for he who is willing to grab it.
